Welcome to the Oregon-Davis window to the world. Oregon-Davis is a proud school corporation with a history and commitment to excellence. We are very proud of all of the progress we have made to enhance the educational programming of the Oregon- Davis School Corporation. We have taken a progressive approach for improving Oregon-Davis schools. In the Spring of 2012, our community passed a general fund referendum investing in the Oregon-Davis Schools to ensure the sustainability for many years to come. Students and community are benefitting from our efforts. Oregon-Davis is a recognized leader in technology education, we are a corporation that neighboring districts are trying to model.
Our changes in curriculum and instruction have resulted in tremendous success. In 2012, Oregon-Davis Elementary scores were the best in Starke County. 97% of third graders passed the third grade reading test, and Oregon-Davis Elementary was recognized as a top ten Elementary School in the State. To assist our corporation in the school improvement process, we will be utilizing bank time for increased staff development.
The key to success of any school corporation depends upon parents, community patrons, school board members, administrators, teachers, and staff working together for the benefit of the children we serve. Oregon-Davis has also introduced open enrollment to gain students. We invite you to encourage families outside of Oregon-Davis School Corporation to consider bringing their students to Oregon-Davis.
